The Mile Cross community is at last starting to recognise its potential and growth… After working with The Common Lot I have no doubt that we will again be able to inspire the school, the community and beyond for years to leave a lasting legacy.

Food&Fun worked with the Phoenix Centre’s Holiday Hunger project to engage with children and their families, handing out creative resource packs and signing children up for workshops in art, performance and music-making on the grounds of St Catherine’s Church. Hot meals were also prepared and distributed at the end of the day to the participant’s families.
Over the course of the two weeks we worked directly with 64 children – which 100% of them reported in a survey that they enjoyed this experience and would like to participate again.
