WE MAKE ALTERNATIVE BLUE PLAQUES FOR WOMEN!

Did you know that out of 4500 heritage plaques in the UK. less than 12% of them celebrate women? It’s a bloody outrage!

Rosie’s Plaques is a guerrilla art project staged by women of The Common Lot. We make blue plaques for the women that history has erased or ignored. Then we dress up at Rosie The Riveter and put them on significant buildings.

The project began in Norwich in May 2019 with eight plaques and has since become a national movement.

Rosie’s Plaques also won The 2019 Norfolk Arts Awards for People’s Choice Award – Best Small Organisation or Project.
