Common Lot

Our shows are for, with and about the people of Norfolk.

To mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death the Royal Shakespeare Company toured the UK with his most popular play, A Midsummer’s Night Dream. In each location the production collaborated with an amateur theatre company, playing The Mechanicals. The Common Lot were chosen by the RSC to represent the Eastern region and so it was that 6 actors and director Simon Floyd had the honour of working and rehearsing with this world famous organisation and performing in Norwich’s Theatre Royal and Stratford Upon Avon.
